Ingredients

  • 6 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature

  • 1 stick of butter, at room temperature

  • 1 cup of flour

  • 1 egg, at room temperature

  • 1 – 1 1/4 cup of chopped pecans

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • In a mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese and butter. Slowly beat in flour.
  • Take one spoonful of cream cheese mixture and spread it on bottom of each muffin tin cup. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just make sure each cup has a good base.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat an egg. Add in pecans, vanilla, and brown sugar. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Same process as before, take a spoonful of the pecan mixture and put it on top of each cream cheese cup, pressing down a bit.
  • Bake in oven for about 30 minutes until browned and set. Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes in the muffin tin and then remove each tart from the muffin tin and let cool on wire rack.
  • Enjoy!
